How to book your session

Maidstone Museum & Bentlif Art Gallery invites you to 'Step into Learning...'
In order to get the most out of your trip, we request that all school parties book their visit in advance. This will help us to tailor the day to your needs and ensure that we are prepared to greet you on arrival.

Maidstone Borough Council recognises that learning should be fun and that everyone is entitled to learn through engagement with the Museum's fantastic array of artefacts and specimens. Entry to the Museum is free for everyone and those groups that wish to make a 'visit only' trip with no workshops are very welcome to do so. Please provide us with the time and date of your visit and the number in your party and we can also offer you a free 'object inspired visit' (see our 'What can we do for you?' section) and use of one of our Education spaces.

Please refer to the various key stage areas to read all about the workshops that are currently available.

To book your visit, or to speak to the Learning Team about what we can offer you, please contact Fiona Woolley, Interpretation Manager on 01622 602850 or fionawoolley@maidstone.gov.uk

Once you have made your booking, we will send confirmation of any workshops or outreaches, times of sessions and prices. Please do not send any payment until you have received an invoice from the Museum.

We do have a gift shop at the Museum which stocks many items at pocket money prices which relate to the workshop themes. If you feel that there is not enough time during you visit to enable your class to go to the gift shop, we can make up bags with items in for you to collect upon your arrival and distribute in your own time. If you would like us to do this for you then please contact Alex Gurr on 01622 602847 or alexgurr@maidstone.gov.uk  stating the maximum amount of money you want to spend per head and we can get a selection of items together for you.
